BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A new entertainment zone that allows fun for the whole family is bringing a buzz to the Bridgeport area.
“The Hive” is a new trampoline park located in Meadowbrook Mall and hosted its grand opening ceremony on Friday after holding a soft open earlier in the week. Ownership told 12 News that they decided to have a soft opening as a way to prepare their staff and allow fun for the community a little early, though not everything is ready.
Sitting at 53,000 square feet with 40,000 square feet of activity space, the entertainment zone is the largest in the state.
“We started construction back in August and we kind of went pedal to the metal to get it done. A few hiccups here and there but, you know we are just really super excited to be able to provide something like this. It started with a dream, and it obviously came to life after specific selection of attractions,” Marketing Coordinator and Owner Cara Cohen said.
The Hive Entertainment Zone will coordinate with mall hours and will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
