The opening night performance of “TINA — The Tina Turner Musical” will take place at downtown Syracuse’s Landmark Theatre tonight (Jan. 30).
The musical had been postponed for the past two nights because of illness among the show’s cast. Those two performances have been rescheduled to Sunday.
“Broadway In Syracuse and the Landmark Theatre thank the public for their consideration and understanding throughout this engagement, and the company of TINA looks forward to entertaining Syracuse audiences starting this evening,” the producers from Broadway In Syracuse said in a news release.
Here is the updated schedule for the performances at the Landmark:
• Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
• Sunday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The musical tells the story of singer Tina Turner, from her early life as a small-town girl named Anna Mae Bullock in Tennessee to her rise to super stardom beginning in the 1960s.
Broadway In Syracuse has not disclosed the nature of the illness or identified the member or members of the cast who are affected.
