Incoming Bachelor star Grant Ellis captured fans’ hearts on The Bachelorette and is now stepping into the spotlight as the lead for season 29.
The 6-foot-5 New Jersey native is more than just a handsome face, he’s a former basketball star turned day trader.
According to his ABC bio, Grant thrives in “the fast-paced world of finance,” where he buys and sells stocks to profit from rapid market fluctuations.
Before his finance career, he was a standout basketball player at Albertus Magnus College, earning himself high praise from his former coach, Mitch Oliver.
Mitch said: “He was a great player, probably the best shooter I’ve ever had or seen/ His calm, cool, collected demeanor couldn’t be rattled.”
After his emotional exit, ABC announced him as the next Bachelor, calling him “an adventurous day trader with a genuine desire to build a family.”
Grant’s season premieres January 27, 2025, as he embarks on a journey with 25 hopeful women.
His profile also says: “He’s eager to find a partner who shares his values of loyalty, humor, and a love for life’s simple pleasures.”
