We never forgot about you.
Simple Minds announced they’re striking out on a huge North American tour in honor of the 40th anniversary of their seminal album “Once Upon A Time” that spawned the hits “Alive and Kicking” “All The Things She Said” and “Sanctify Yourself” along with “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” which has been retroactively added to a remastered bonus disc.
This nationwide trek, the group’s first proper U.S. run since 2018, includes stops at Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Wednesday, June 11 and Long Island’s Jones Beach Theater on Friday, June 13.
They won’t be going it alone either.
The Scottish synth-pop icons will be joined by ’80s legends Soft Cell and Modern English at all shows.
“Hindsight is a glorious thing!” frontman Jim Kerr said. “40 years on and it now feels right for Simple Minds to have ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ included in this classy new nine track edition of Once Upon A Time.”
Most recently, the band released the moody, exuberant single “Your Name In Lights” in 2024.
Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Simple Minds shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, Jan. 31.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.
