Hannah Stocking has shared a story about unconventional “witchcraft” advice she received from Whitney Cummings, who recently was labeled a D-list actor.
In a conversation with Daily Express US at Sundance 2025, Stocking stated: “Whitney is not just a friend—she’s like family to me.
“She’s been such a mentor, helping me in my career and personal life. She’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met.”
Stocking, who has leaned on Cummings for guidance in everything from stand-up comedy to relationships, reflected on the peculiar way they first connected.
“We followed each other on Instagram, and she noticed I had a praying mantis in my bathroom,” Stocking recalled.
During the interview, Stocking also talked about her close friendship with actress Miranda Cosgrove – her co-star in the upcoming Netflix rom-com The Wrong Paris.
“Miranda and I bond over cats,” Stocking said.
“I have seven, and she has a lot too. Not many people know that about her, but she has a heart of gold.”
