Davidson, who\u2019s expecting his first child with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt<\/strong>, discussed his excitement while appearing on the Wednesday, August 6, edition of Late Night With Seth Meyers<\/i><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u201dm stoked. I can\u2019t wait. Let\u2019s go,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cI\u2019m so excited. I\u2019ve never been more excited for anything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Host Seth Meyers<\/strong> asked Davidson if he received any advice from Eddie Murphy<\/strong>, his costar in the new film The Pickup<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPete Davidson has talked about wanting to be a parent for years, and now his dream is coming true with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt. Pete and Hewitt announced in July 2025 that they were expecting their first child together, four months after they confirmed their romance via Instagram. \u201cWelp now everyone knows we had sex,\u201d Hewitt [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cEddie was like, \u2018I got no advice for you. Because you\u2019re on your own,\u2019\u201d the actor replied, smiling. \u201cHe was like, \u2018You can\u2019t tell anyone how to [be a parent]. You know, you\u2019re gonna do your own thing.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, Davidson, 31, and Hewitt, 29, made their first red-carpet appearance<\/span><\/a> since announcing Hewitt\u2019s pregnancy on July 16. The model debuted her baby bump in a form-fitting black dress, while her boyfriend sported a brown Sergio Tacchini tracksuit.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPete and Elsie definitely weren\u2019t planning on starting a family but are over the moon about it. They are so excited,\u201d a source exclusively told Us Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a> last month. \u201cPete and Elsie have a really playful relationship, and things are going really well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The insider added of the parents-to-be, \u201cThis has brought them even closer. It\u2019s a healthy relationship for Pete. Pete has always wanted to be a dad and thinks the timing in his life is perfect. He couldn\u2019t have done it a few years ago but is in a very different place in life now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

After the pair were spotted together on multiple occasions in March 2025, Us Weekly confirmed that they were dating. Weeks earlier, Hewitt gave a clue about her romantic life. \u201cIt\u2019s actually so simple, like, I just want somebody who is funny [and] makes [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Several days after the announcement, Davidson told Entertainment Tonight <\/i><\/a>that \u201cit\u2019s been my dream forever since I was a little kid. The baby\u2019s mother is one of my favorite people to ever exist ever.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Davidson said Hewitt is \u201cgoing to be a great mom.\u201d Meanwhile, \u201cI hope to be a, you know, the dad I hoped that I would have,\u201d he revealed on July 22.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
