Kelly Clarkson<\/strong><\/a> has put her Las Vegas residency on pause as her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock<\/strong>, battles a private illness.<\/p>\n

The mother of two \u2014 who shares daughter River Rose<\/strong>, 11, and son Remington Alexander<\/strong>, 9, with Blackstock, 48 \u2014 took to Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday, August 6, to announce the difficult decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,\u201d she wrote. \u201cWhile I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children\u2019s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n

Concerned fans flooded the comments section with words of love and support for the \u201cSince U Been Gone\u201d singer, 43, and her family.<\/p>\n

One user replied, \u201cThose kids need you more than we do! Go be the best momma! Best wishes to all involved,\u201d and a second fan chimed in, \u201cWe love you Kelly! Positive vibes up for you and your family.\u201d<\/p>\n

This comes one month after Clarkson canceled the first two shows<\/a> of her Studio Sessions residency in early July.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice,\u201d she said in a post shared to social media. \u201cI want the shows to be perfect for y\u2019all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n

On July 8, an insider told Page Six<\/em><\/a> that, along with her concerns about damaging her vocal cords, the American Idol<\/em> alum had also been facing \u201cserious hidden battles\u201d that \u201cvery few people\u201d were \u201cprivy\u201d to.<\/p>\n

Country legend Dolly Parton<\/strong> has also been \u201ccalling and checking<\/a>\u201d in on her and \u201coffering support\u201d to the singer.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wants to get together and have a talk, just the two of them, without any interruptions,\u201d a separate insider told Star<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Clarkson and Blackstock said \u201cI Do\u201d in 2013 and welcomed their two children together before calling it quits following seven years of marriage.
