Brad Pitt\u2019s<\/a> mother, Jane Etta Pitt, n\u00e9e Hillhouse, has died at the age of 84.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Representatives for the actor did not immediately reply with further comment. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In an emotional tribute and collection of family photos, Sydney Pitt wrote, \u201cMy sweet Grammy, Jane Etta, we were not ready for you to go yet but knowing you are finally free to sing, dance, and paint again makes it a tad easier.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf you knew Grammy, you knew she had the biggest heart. She cared deeply for everyone and everything, no questions asked.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jane Pitt, a retired school counselor, raised the Oscar winner and his siblings Doug and Julie in Springfield, Missouri, alongside her husband, William Pitt, the owner of a trucking company.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sydney Pitt remembered her grandmother for teaching her \u201chow to be strong,\u201d \u201clead with kindness,\u201d as well as her staunch dedication to \u201cfairness,\u201d \u201cputting others first\u201d and \u201cdoing good simply because it was the right thing to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThere was no limit to the love she gave, and everyone who met her felt it,\u201d her post continued. \u201cI don\u2019t know how we move forward without her. But I know she\u2019s still here in every brushstroke, every kind gesture, every hummingbird. She was love in its purest form.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
