When Jessa Duggar<\/strong><\/a> welcomed her sixth baby<\/a> with husband Ben Seewald<\/strong>, it was a family affair.<\/p>\n

Jessa, 32, revealed in a video<\/a> shared to her YouTube channel on Monday, August 4, that her 16-year-old sister, Jordyn-Grace<\/strong>, was the one who cut the umbilical cord. (Jessa announced the birth of the baby, whose name she has not revealed, the day before.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a sweet moment when it came time to cut the cord,\u201d she said. \u201cFirst of all, I said to Ben, \u2018You\u2019ve never cut the cord. You should cut the cord this time.\u2019 Teasing him mostly because I know he has a very weak stomach for such things. He\u2019s a huge support and encouragement to me throughout labor, but he doesn\u2019t want to be near all of that. So, he\u2019s like, \u2018No, thank you.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy sister Jordyn \u2013- this was her first time to be at one of my births. And so, I said, \u2018Jordyn, you should cut the cord.\u2019 And she was really excited about that,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo, she got to cut the cord. She\u2019s like, \u2018Wow, this is awesome. This is so cool.\u2019 That was a sweet moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald\u2019s love story keeps counting on. Jessa, one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar\u2019s 19 children, met Seewald at church when they were 20 and 17, respectively. \u201cWe went up from central Arkansas [where we lived] to the northwest part of the state, where her family lived,\u201d Seewald recalled of [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jessa and Ben share sons Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, and George, 2, as well as daughters Ivy, 6, and Fern, 3. The couple also experienced pregnancy losses<\/a> in 2020 and 2022.<\/p>\n

The entire video shows the final days of Jessa\u2019s pregnancy and the scary lead-up to the arrival<\/a> when she experienced a blood clot, then suddenly stopped feeling the baby\u2019s movement. Jessa detailed how she tried to stay calm, knowing panic would not help the baby, and said she phoned the hospital ahead of time to let them know the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey met us outside with a wheelchair, wheeled me in, they immediately take a doppler and try to find the baby\u2019s heartbeat and they weren\u2019t hearing anything,\u201d she recalled. \u201cThey\u2019re listening around, finally I told them, \u2018I think baby\u2019s back has been over here,\u2019 and they checked, and sure enough they got a heartbeat pretty quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n
