Music producer Calvin Harris announced the birth of his first child in a way that caught some social media users by surprise. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Harris and his wife, Vick Hope, welcomed a baby boy named Micah last month \u2014 and the new father recently celebrated the auspicious occasion on Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201c20th of July our baby boy arrived,\u201d he wrote in a post on Monday<\/a>. \u201cMicah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! We love you so much Micah.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The post included a carousel of photos documenting Hope\u2019s home water birth, but a few of them took social media users by surprise. The fourth photo in the series shows her placenta<\/a>, followed by photos of the placenta apparently being dehydrated and put into gel capsules<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhat is that on last 2 photos? And why???,\u201d one user asked.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Another person commented: \u201cSwiping: Oh wow!…. That\u2019s amazing\u2026.. Congratula\u2026.. WHAT THE FUCK!?\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n And though many commenters expressed shock, there was also some positive reinforcement in the mix. Some people celebrated the raw beauty of new life, exclaiming that this was a normal part of life that people should be accustomed to. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cCongratulations!
