Pamela Anderson<\/strong><\/a> took a leap and decided to move out of the U.S. after decades of living in California.<\/p>\n

The Naked Gun<\/em> actress sold her Malibu home<\/a> of more than 20 years for $11.8 million in November 2021, Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed at the time. Anderson had initially purchased the home in December 2000 for $1.8 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany sexy, fun times were had here,\u201d she told the celebrity.land<\/em><\/a> in March 2021 of memories made in her one-time residence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Anderson was ready for a major change and felt it was the right time to move out of the U.S. to go back to her roots.<\/p>\n

Where Does Pamela Anderson Live Now?<\/h2>\n

Anderson currently lives on Vancouver Island<\/a> in British Columbia, Canada.<\/p>\n

\u201cVancouver Island, located on Canada\u2019s West Coast, is known for its mild climate, abundance and relaxed way of life,\u201d according to Tourism Vancouver Island<\/a>. \u201cThis region is defined by its ancient rainforests, rugged coastlines and cool waters of the Pacific Ocean, creating an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities and peaceful getaways.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anderson\u2019s Instagram page is full of glimpses of her 100-year-old home and whimsical garden in Canada. The property has been in her family for generations and is referred to as Arcady, which means \u201cpeaceful, rustic place.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s kind of like a wildflower sanctuary: mystical, very romantic. I live in a rainforest, so it just feels very, I don\u2019t know, healthy,\u201d she told Architectural Digest<\/em><\/a> in October 2024. \u201cOf course I love neutral colors. I love all the linen, and everything is very earthy and wood and white and concrete, and I love that too. It\u2019s eclectic, I like to have fun. It\u2019s bursting with memories of my childhood, so it\u2019s triggering!\u201d<\/p>\n

Why Did Pamela Anderson Leave the U.S.?<\/h2>\n

Anderson moved to Canada during her marriage to Dan Hayhurst<\/strong>, which lasted from 2020 to 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel more settled on my sustainable ranch on Vancouver Island with space to rescue more animals. It\u2019s still beachfront. One foot away from the water \u2014 and I\u2019m lost,\u201d she told the celebrity.land<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Anderson was born and raised in Ladysmith, British Columbia, so returning to the place she grew up was incredibly special and gave her time to reflect.<\/p>\n

\u201cA few years back, I kind of gave up at some point and needed a change,\u201d Anderson told Better Homes & Gardens<\/em><\/a> in August 2024. \u201cI thought, well, I guess that\u2019s just what people think of me. I was not in a good space when I moved back to Canada. I don\u2019t know what happened over the last few decades, but I feel now so far removed from the image of who I was.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI felt very sad and lonely. I didn\u2019t feel just misunderstood, I felt like I had really screwed up, that my whole life was a bundle of mistakes. I was hard on myself, and I thought I put my family through a lot and put my kids through so much.\u201d (Anderson shares sons Brandon and Dylan with ex-husband Tommy Lee<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n
