She added that the scenes were filmed early in production. \u201cIt was in the first week of a shooting \u2014 I think it might\u2019ve been the second day or so.\u201d<\/p>\n Palmer said she felt the chemistry between them came naturally. \u201cI honestly think he and I have chemistry,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cLook, I don\u2019t know anybody that Pete don\u2019t have chemistry with. I mean, he\u2019s pretty well-liked in the female world.\u201d The film follows Palmer as a savvy bank robber who crosses paths with armored truck drivers played by Davidson and Eddie Murphy.<\/p>\n She emphasized the significance of working with Murphy, who stars alongside them in the Tim Story-directed film. \u201cWe started out acting and performing as kids,\u201d Palmer said. \u201c[Davidson] started doing standup at 12. I started acting at nine. So I think being at this point in our lives, we\u2019re in our thirties, and we\u2019re working with Eddie Murphy. For us, it feels like these are the moments that we dreamed of.\u201d<\/p>\n Palmer recalled first meeting Murphy while spending time with his daughters. \u201cHe was coming downstairs in his pajamas, and he was just playing a guitar, which is the sickest thing that he could play,\u201d she told People<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Pickup premiered on Prime Video on August 6, 2025.
