There is no shame in Cheryl Burke<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s self-love game. The star, 41, recently sat down with Us<\/em> to talk about her recent weight loss, dealing with social media trolls, plastic surgery allegations and the state of her dating life. Regarding that last one, it\u2019s non-existent \u2014 and Burke is OK with that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to heal still in that sense,\u201d she told Us<\/em>, referring to her 2022 divorce from Matthew Lawrence<\/strong><\/a>. The two met in 2006, started dating in 2007, broke up in 2008, reunited in 2017, got engaged in 2018 and\u00a0said their \u201cI do\u2019s\u201d in May 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

But after three years of marriage, Burke and Lawrence were over. She said in 2024 that her role as breadwinner made things tough: \u201cI learned that you can\u2019t buy love.\u201d (Lawrence is currently dating TLC\u2019s Chili<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/span><\/p>\n

So does she miss intimacy and physical touch in the meantime? \u201cI touch myself all the time,\u201d Burke says. \u201cIt\u2019s great. We are good to go. There\u2019s no emotional baggage that comes with it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCheryl Burke has had enough. Throughout her career, including 17 years competing as a pro on Dancing With the Stars (which she left in 2022), she\u2019s endured relentless body shaming. She also suffers from body dysmorphic disorder, an intense fixation on her looks and perceived flaws. For decades, she took other people\u2019s critiques to heart. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Which is a pretty great point \u2014 especially given all the emotional baggage she\u2019s currently dealing with in other areas of her life. Namely, fending off online trolls who seem obsessed with critiquing her looks and attacking her character.<\/p>\n

Strangers tuning in for her popular \u201cGet Ready With Me\u201d videos and other social content who noticed her recent weight loss have felt comfortable telling her they thought she looked better before. Some accused her of using GLP-1<\/a>\u2018s, having excessive plastic surgery and undergoing skin lightening, all of which she denies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a tired subject, and it\u2019s not just talking and commenting,\u201d Burke says. \u201cPeople are making full-on TikTok videos that they\u2019re editing together, scripting, using graphics, arrows, to point out my face, about the scars that they supposedly see.\u201d She tells Us<\/i> she\u2019s astonished by the amount of time people have dedicated to tearing her apart.<\/span><\/p>\n
