WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan<\/a> passed away at age 71 last month. <\/p>\n On Tuesday, Aug. 5, the renowned wrestler was laid to rest at a private funeral in Florida. Hulk\u2019s daughter, Brooke Hogan, wasn\u2019t in attendance.<\/p>\n Later that day, she took to Instagram to share a collection of photos featuring her husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, and their fraternal twins, Oliver and Molly, enjoying a family beach day. In her caption, Brooke explained why she decided to forgo her father\u2019s service.<\/p>\n \u201cMy father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn\u2019t want one,\u201d Brooke began her post<\/a>. The 37-year-old former reality star went on to explain that while she was \u201cso grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him,\u201d she personally wanted to grieve in a different way.<\/p>\n \u201cI had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Her post then included a heartfelt message to her father. \u201cDaddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved.\u201d<\/p>\n Brooke shared how special it was to bring her twins, who were born in January, to the beach, just as Hulk used to take her there during her childhood. <\/p>\n \u201cWe love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you.
