Brooke Hogan<\/strong> chose to honor her late father, Hulk Hogan<\/strong>, in her own way.<\/p>\n The funeral for the professional wrestling icon \u2014 who died of a heart attack at age 71 on July 24 \u2014 was held in Florida on Tuesday, August 5, and Brooke,\u202f37, was not in attendance. Instead, she marked the day by sharing an Instagram carousel<\/a> filled with photos of her and her family at the beach, explaining how she paid tribute to the WWE legend in her heartfelt caption.<\/p>\n \u201cMy father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn\u2019t want one,\u201d she revealed in the caption. \u201cAnd although I know people grieve in many ways \u2013 and I\u2019m so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how\u2026privately\u2026the way that made me feel the closest to him.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves\u2026 and the sunset \ud83d\udc94,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n Brooke, who shares 6-month-old twins, Oliver Andrew<\/strong> and Molly Gene<\/strong>, with husband Steven Oleksy<\/strong>, said she did what felt right for her.<\/p>\n \u201cDaddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cMolly loved the water. I think she\u2019ll be a \u2018little fish\u2019 as you called me. We love you and honor the things that made you so special,\u201d she penned. \u201cEvery grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. Rest in heaven, Daddy\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n Brooke\u2019s absence from Hulk\u2019s funeral comes on the same day she called into The Bubba the Love Sponge Show <\/a><\/em>and raised questions about her father\u2019s health<\/a> prior to his death.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re saying he had leukemia, and I\u2019m like, I saw his blood work every time,\u201d she stated on the show. \u201cOne doctor, I quote, said, \u2018His blood is like a 25-year-old.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cFor me, the no autopsy and the leukemia out of nowhere hits me as BS,\u201d Brooke continued. \u201cI would be surprised that a surgeon would work on somebody with leukemia or somebody that would see a high white blood cell count and not do further investigation first.\u201d<\/p>\n Brooke had a complicated relationship with her dad<\/a> that was full of ups and downs. The mother of two made an Instagram post<\/a> after he passed, shedding some light on their relationship over the years.<\/p>\n \u201cWe never had a \u2018big fight,\u2019\u201d she admitted. \u201cIt was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know or understand.
