\n\tHollywood stars are reacting to the news of the verdict in the Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs sex trafficking and racketeering case<\/a> that found him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges.<\/p>\n \n\tOver the past six weeks, federal prosecutors have called numerous witnesses<\/a> and presented evidence that ultimately did not convince the jury that the former hip-hop mogul was guilty of using his company as a criminal enterprise and conspiring with his associates and employees to traffic and abuse women. The prosecution\u2019s star witness was Casandra \u201cCassie<\/a>\u201d Ventura, Combs\u2019 longtime ex-girlfriend, who testified about years of alleged abuse<\/a>, including coercion into nonconsensual sex acts<\/a>, physical violence<\/a> and control through threats<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tAfter the verdict was revealed Wednesday, entertainment industry figures took to social media to share their thoughts on the news. Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson<\/a>, a longtime rival of Diddy<\/a>\u2018s, took to Instagram<\/a> to share his thoughts. \u201cDiddy beat the Rico, that boy a bad man !\u201d he wrote, adding, \u201che like the Gay John Gotti.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tAubrey O\u2019Day, who worked with the Bad Boy Records founder on his Making the Band 3 reality show centered on his label\u2019s group Danity Kane, shared a video on her Instagram Stories reacting to the verdict.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cOh my God, not guilty on Cassie, not guilty on Rico, no way that Jane is gonna be guilty,\u201d she said while filming a video of celebrity.land reporters sharing the verdict. \u201cThis makes me physically ill\u2026. Cassie probably feels so horrible. Ugh, I\u2019m gonna vomit.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tO\u2019Day posted a separate statement to her Instagram Stories: \u201cThe cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable. It is heartbreaking to witness how many lives have been impacted by their experiences with Sean Combs \u2014 only for those stories to fall short in the eyes of a jury. I can only hope these jurors never have to watch someone they love endure what so many survivors have described.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tOver the years, O\u2019Day has been vocal in her distaste toward Combs. After joining Danity Kane, she was kicked out of the musical group in 2008, alleging on an episode of Call Her Daddy<\/a> that the mogul removed her because she \u201cwasn\u2019t willing to do what was expected of me, not talent-wise, but in other areas.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tShe shared support for Ventura in her statement, adding, \u201cMy heart is with Cassie. A woman who could\u2019ve had a life and career free of fear and control. A woman who told her truth in a courtroom, only to have the world dissect her credibility instead of her courage.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWomen, Nor men, Nor ANY ARTIST \u2014 are the property of those with the most wealth, fame & power. We are not disposable. 12 people on a jury will not be deciding that for us,\u201d she concluded the post.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tShortly after the verdict was announced, the singer appeared on Inside Edition<\/a> where she said her reaction to hearing the news was \u201ca gut punch.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019m floored by the jury\u2019s verdict,\u201d O\u2019Day added.\u00a0\u201cThe evidence is there. For me, it\u2019s all the way there.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tGrammy-nominated singer Kesha<\/a>, too, posted on X<\/a> (formerly Twitter) in solidarity with Ventura. There, she wrote, \u201cCassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tKesha announced last year<\/a> that she was changing the lyric in her 2010 hit \u201cTiK ToK\u201d to \u201cfuck P. Diddy\u201d from the original \u201cfeeling like P. Diddy\u201d after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against Combs.<\/p>\n \n\tRosie O\u2019Donnell shared her take on the verdict on Instagram<\/a>, writing, \u201ci guess a jury just never wants to believe that a woman stays because of power and coercion \u2013 wow \u2013 they just think women stay because what? money \u2013 fame \u2013 \u2018they love the abuse\u2019 \u2013 what a fucking joke \u2013 this decision got me angry #cassie.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
