The documentary crew that filmed The Office<\/em> seemingly can\u2019t get enough of paper.<\/p>\n Peacock on Thursday released a trailer for The Paper<\/a><\/em>, a mockumentary set in the same world as The Office<\/em> (and featuring Oscar Nu\u00f1ez reprising his role as Oscar Martinez) that finds the crew that filmed Dunder Mifflin taking its cameras to Toledo, Ohio, and following the staff of the Truth-Teller, a newspaper that has been around for more than 100 years but is now apparently an afterthought for its owner, which also sells toilet paper and toilet seat covers.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n Into that situation walks Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson), who\u2019s determined to restore the paper to its former glory. He doesn\u2019t have money to pay reporters, however, so he recruits volunteers from the paper\u2019s existing non-editorial staff while the documentary crew follows his efforts \u2014\u00a0much to Oscar\u2019s dismay. Watch the trailer below.<\/p>\n Greg Daniels, who created the American Office<\/em> and was its showrunner for several seasons, and Michael Koman (Nathan for You<\/em>) created the series, which Peacock ordered to series<\/a> in May 2024. Daniels said much of the crew that worked on The Office<\/em> will also work on The Paper<\/em>. The first season\u2019s director lineup includes several Office alumni, including Ken Kwapis, Paul Lieberstein, Jennifer Celotta, Matt Sohn, Dave Rogers and Jeffrey Blitz. Yana Gorskaya, Tazbah Chavez and Jason Woliner also helmed episodes.<\/p>\n The Paper<\/em>\u2019s cast also includes Sabrina Impacciatore,\u00a0Chelsea Frei<\/a>, Melvin Gregg,\u00a0Gbemisola Ikumelo<\/a>, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young and Tim Key.\u00a0Duane Shepard Sr.<\/a>,\u00a0Allan Havey, Nate Jackson, Mo Welch,\u00a0Nancy Lenehan,\u00a0Molly Ephraim and\u00a0Tracy Letts will have guest roles. Ikumelo, Edelman, Rahill and Welch are also writers on the series.<\/p>\n Universal Television produces The Paper<\/em>.
