The American Film Market looks like it\u2019s on track to bounce back from underwhelming Las Vegas escapade<\/a>. As previously reported<\/a>, the market will return to its original location in Los Angeles on Nov. 11-16 and has already enlisted top companies from over 60 countries.<\/p>\n The 46th edition will be hosted at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, a stark contrast from the touristy Santa Monica pier area which hosted the market for many years, but a convenient location for business since it\u2019s almost literally next door to CAA and many L.A-based film groups.<\/p>\n More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Organizers have confirmed that the exhibition space is almost sold with leading international companies, including AGC Studios, Anton, Kinology, Charades, Embankment Films, Gaumont, HanWay Films, Goodfellas, Lionsgate, The Match Factory, Neon, North.five.six, Path\u00e9 Films, Protagonist Pictures, Studiocanal, WME Independent and XYZ Films, among others.<\/p>\n \u201cThis early momentum signals a renewed sense of optimism and engagement across the independent film and television industry, as well as highlights AFM\u2019s enduring position for global players to gather to do business, network, present and screen completed films and works-in-progress, and gain insights into the current marketplace,\u201d said organizers in a statement.<\/p>\n Also registered for the market are National Umbrella Stands hosting sales and production companies will represent countries including China, France, Germany, Italy, and Thailand, organized respectively by China Film Co-Production Corporation, Unifrance, German Films \u2013 Service + Marketing, the Italian Trade Agency with the DGCA Ministry of Culture, and Thailand\u2019s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP).<\/p>\n Best of Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Sign up for Variety’s Newsletter<\/a>.
