\n\tEarlier this year, the New York-born Chilean artist signed with George Prajin<\/a> and Peso Pluma\u2019s Double P Management, becoming the\u00a0first female artist and the first non-Mexican act to join the roster that also includes Peso, Tito Double P, Gabito Ballesteros, and Santa Fe Klan.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI hadn\u2019t had a manager for many years, and I had something specific I was looking for,\u201d Paloma Mami tells Billboard.<\/em> \u201cI needed a lot of strength and masculine energy because I have all the feminine energy. My team has always been my mom and my sister, but we needed that focus and the ability to reach the goal directly.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tPaloma, whose real name is Paloma Roc\u00edo Castillo Astorga, met Prajin and his team in Los Angeles and instantly felt a connection \u2014 one that promised stability.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was hard to be consistent with my fans, with my music, with my record label; there were always gaps. So now I have a whole team, and we\u2019re really strong. I\u2019m excited to have that consistency and be able to focus solely on my music,\u201d she notes. <\/p>\n

\n\tNow, with a new management in tow, the former Billboard<\/em> Latin Artist on the Rise<\/a> has also released her sophomore studio album C\u00d3DiGOS DE MU\u00d1EKA<\/em> with 11 polished tracks that best represents who she is as an artist and person today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was born from a lot of inspiration. I felt like on this album I wanted to show many sides of me and be more versatile with my music,\u201d she says of the set\u2019s concept. \u201cDolls can do everything: they have different jobs, many talents, and styles. For me, the doll is ultra-feminine, ultra-empowered, with a lot of attitude, and I wanted that to be the message of the album. With each song, I wanted to show a different side of me, based on what I felt while I was creating it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tC\u00d3DIGOS<\/em>\u2014which includes collaborations with Rauw Alejandro, DannyLux, and Pablo Chill-E, among others\u2014debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard<\/em> Top Latin Pop Albums chart in July.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere was a lot of intention that it was going to be a very free album, and it was going to show a fun side of me that I felt I\u2019d lost for a while,\u201d she expresses. \u201cSometimes when you\u2019re creating, you think a lot about what people want to hear, and I was in a box for a long time. With this album, I was able to truly create from my heart and my feelings\u2014it was my intuition that the songs were telling me. People are connecting with it because it has that part of me.\u201d<\/p>\n
