Coming out in a competitive situation, the now Skydance-owned studio has picked up High Side<\/em>, the hot feature package from director James Mangold and star Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n The project reunites the duo after their collaboration on the Academy Award-nominated Bob Dylan biopic\u00a0A Complete Unknown.\u00a0<\/em>Mangold is attached to direct High Side<\/em>, a biker thriller, with Chalamet attached to star.<\/p>\n Peter Chernin and David Ready are attached to produce on behalf of Chernin Entertainment alongside Mangold.<\/p>\n High Side<\/em> is based on an original, unpublished story by Jaime Oliveira,\u00a0who is also adapting the screenplay.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be in business with visionary artists like James and Timoth\u00e9e, and exceptional collaborators\u00a0like Peter and David at Chernin,\u201d said Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein, co-chairs of Paramount Pictures, in a statement. \u201cWhat Jaime has created reflects the kind of bold, original storytelling we\u2019re committed to championing at Paramount \u2013 and\u00a0we\u00a0couldn\u2019t be more excited to hit the ground running with\u00a0High Side<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n Described as Heat<\/em>\u00a0meets\u00a0Hell or High Water<\/em>,\u00a0High Side<\/em> tells of a former MotoGP racer. Haunted by a career-ending crash and a family legacy of abandonment, he is drawn back into the world of high-speed risks and extreme danger when his estranged brother, already being pursued by the FBI, recruits him for a series of bank robberies on superbikes.<\/p>\n \u201cDavid, Dana, and Josh display a real commitment to original, story-driven filmmaking on the big screen and this passion made it easy for Timoth\u00e9e, Peter, and me to land on this project,\u201d stated Mangold. \u201cTimoth\u00e9e is a trusted collaborator, a generational artist and a person I adore.
