Macaulay Culkin confirmed a long-standing rumor that his \u201cHome Alone\u201d stunt double was a \u201cvery short,\u201d 30-year-old man named Larry Nicholas.<\/p>\n
Culkin stopped by \u201cHot Ones\u201d on Thursday for a very rare interview with host Sean Evans. The host said he couldn\u2019t help but ask him to fact check some rumors about the classic family film \u201cHome Alone.\u201d<\/p>\n
More from TheWrap<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIs it true that your stunt double was a very short 30-year-old man?\u201d Evans asked.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/figure>\n \u201cYeah, his name was Larry, and I saw him in the wardrobe department for the first time,\u201d Culkin responded, explaining how the two first met. \u201cI get changed and I walk out and there\u2019s this guy, Larry, dressed exactly like me \u2019cause we\u2019re both trying on the same outfit. And [I\u2019m like,] \u2018Oh, hey, Larry, how ya doing?\u2019 He goes, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m doing good. I\u2019m Larry, the stunt guy.\u2019 And he kind of looks at me and he goes, \u2018How old do you think I am?\u2019 And I go, \u2018That\u2019s a loaded question.\u2019 I know he\u2019s much older than me \u2019cause I was 9. So it was loaded; I go, \u201913?\u2019 \u2026 He thought that was funny.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor went on to share stories about he and Nicholas\u2019 time on set, including one instance where Nicholas fell after a shelf collapsed.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a vicious first take. It was vicious, and they do it again. And there\u2019s another take just boom. They didn\u2019t like the way everything felt, and they do it again and they do it again \u2026 And I\u2019m going, \u2018Please take it easy on Larry. He\u2019s only 13 years old.’\u201d<\/p>\n He went on to weigh in on some other \u201cHome Alone\u201d myths, including the idea that he improvised the line, \u201cYou guys give up? Are you thirsty for me?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNo, no, not that one \u2026 that was in the script,\u201d Culkin explained.
