GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) \u2014 Tiera Kennedy will be headlining a free concert during ArtPrize, the Grand Rapids art contest announced Thursday.<\/p>\n

The R&B and country fusion singer will be performing during the ArtPrize Halftime show on Sept. 26.<\/p>\n

Kennedy was featured on Beyonce\u2019s \u201cBLACKBIIRD\u201d on the \u201cCowboy Carter\u201d album, appeared in a Dolly Parton video and was mentored by Shania Twain. Her debut album, \u201cRooted,\u201d came out last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cTiera Kennedy is more than a rising star\u2014she\u2019s a force,\u201d a Thursday release from ArtPrize says.<\/p>\n

ArtPrize looking for volunteers to \u2018bring event to life\u2019 <\/a><\/p>\n

The show will also feature Michigan acts Jake Kershaw and The Bootstrap Boys.<\/p>\n

The free outdoor concert is set to take place at Sixth Street Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cArtPrize Halftime is all about celebrating the creative spirit that brings our community together,\u201d ArtPrize Operations Director Theresa Anderson said in a release. \u201cThis event is a moment to pause in the middle of the ArtPrize experience and come together\u2014neighbors, visitors, and artists alike\u2014for a shared celebration of art, music, and connection in the heart of our city.\u201d<\/p>\n

ArtPrize 2025<\/a><\/strong> is scheduled to take place from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4.<\/p>\n
