BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The City of Bryan is partnering with a sports entertainment company to look into redevelopment options for Travis Major Field, Midtown Park, and the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
The agreement, announced on Tuesday, kicks off a six-month feasibility study led by REV Entertainment to evaluate Travis Major Field\u2019s potential as part of the city\u2019s growing sports and tourism economy.<\/p>\n
REV Entertainment<\/a> is the official sports and entertainment partner of the Texas Rangers.<\/p>\n Officials said the study is not a commitment to construction or renovation. It\u2019s strictly exploratory at this point.<\/p>\n \u201cREV Entertainment brings a high level of experience and a national reputation in sports and venue development,\u201d said Bryan Mayor Bobby Gutierrez. \u201cWe look forward to seeing what their analysis produces as we explore the best opportunities to maximize Travis Major Field that will complement Legends Event Center and the entire Travis Bryan Midtown Park for future generations.\u201d<\/p>\n As part of the project, REV Entertainment will create design concepts for field renovations and other area developments. The company will also provide a proposed budget, project timeline, and a strategy for year-round, multi-use programming.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are thrilled to partner with the City of Bryan on this project,\u201d said Sean Decker, President of REV Entertainment. \u201cWe are grateful for the opportunity to work with the city to reimagine a new future for Travis Major Field and the surrounding area, with the goal of supporting year-round sports, entertainment, and community programming.\u201d<\/p>\n Travis Major Field was built in the 1940s and has been a staple of local athletics for decades.<\/p>\n The city later told KBTX the six-month study will not exceed $85,000.<\/p>\n Copyright 2025 KBTX.
