The Melbourne band\u2019s fifth extended play, following on from 2023\u2019s ARIA Award-winning <em>Midnight Driving<\/em>, is set for release on Friday, August 22nd via Chugg Music. It serves as the follow-up to their second studio album <em>Majordomo<\/em>, which was released in August of 2024, and contains four previously-unreleased songs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In a press statement, the band revealed that three of those four songs were previously \u201chidden\u201d tracks on <em>Majordomo<\/em>\u2018s vinyl release \u2013 ie. tacked on as bonus tracks of various pressings, without being advertised on the album\u2019s tracklist. \u201c[These songs] all come from the same time, and carry great memories,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWe intended to keep the songs hidden on the vinyl, but that changed when we saw our fans enjoying them \u2013 so much so, that people had made digital rips and self-appointed songs titles. We\u2019ve used two of them for the official release. To us, the EP feels like a souvenir of our album.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In addition to the three \u201csecret\u201d songs from <em>Majordomo<\/em>, the EP also includes the new track \u2018Stay Between Us\u2019. The band recorded it themselves earlier this year, following the conclusion of their <em>Majordomo<\/em> Australian tour, and is described by the band as \u201ca song we always believed in\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-4 text-xl font-bold md:text-2xl\">Teenage Dads \u2013 \u2018Stay Between Us\u2019<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Teenage Dads return to Europe later this month for a run of headlining shows and festival dates.
