Australian pop trio Blusher<\/a> have put their own shimmering twist on Kesha\u2019s \u201cYour Love Is My Drug\u201d for their debut appearance on triple j\u2019s long-running Like A Version<\/a><\/em> covers segment.<\/p>\n The Melbourne-based group, consisting of Miranda Ward, Jade Ingvarson-Favretto and Lauren Coutts, first bonded over a shared love of Kesha before forming Blusher in 2021, making the choice of cover a personal one.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s something about the shameless love of pop music that Kesha has really just always been an advocate for,\u201d Ingvarson-Favretto said during the broadcast. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of our guiding light.\u201d<\/p>\n For the performance, the trio reimagined the 2010 Animal<\/em> hit with layered harmonies, live drums and choreographed moves, replacing the original\u2019s sharp electro-pop edges with their trademark dreamy, glitter-laced production. Coutts took on Kesha\u2019s rap bridge, keeping one of the song\u2019s most recognisable moments intact, while the group leaned into their own aesthetic with wired headphones and bold red-and-black styling.<\/p>\n The cover arrived the same day Blusher released Racer<\/em>, their second EP. Alongside the Kesha rendition, they performed their own track \u201cLast Man Standing\u201d live in the triple j studios.<\/p>\n \u201cYour Love Is My Drug\u201d originally peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2010, becoming Kesha\u2019s third top 10 hit that year.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Kesha\u2019s latest studio album .<\/em> (Period<\/em>) made its mark on Billboard\u2019s charts last month<\/a>, debuting at No. 1 on Top Album Sales, Vinyl Albums and Top Dance Albums (chart dated July 19). It marks her first independently released album after a career with Kemosabe\/RCA Records. The set was issued through the singer\u2019s own Kesha Records label and distributed by Warner Music Group\u2019s indie distribution arm Alternative Distribution Alliance.<\/p>\n In support of the new album, the singer recently announced she is set to return to Australia <\/a>for a run of headline dates. Part of her wider\u00a0T\u2013ts Out Tour<\/a>, the four-date trek of the country will see Kesha performing headline dates in the Australian capital cities of Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in late February, 2026.<\/p>\n Notably, the announced run does not include a stop in Sydney, though her visit to Australia coincides with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
