Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo<\/strong>, said he may seek home confinement for the music mogul instead of prison when Diddy is sentenced in October<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Diddy, 55, was convicted<\/a> on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in early July, for which he could face up to 20 years in prison, less time already served. He has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, since his arrest in September 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Agnifilo told TMZ<\/a> in an interview published on Friday, August 8, that the rapper\u2019s legal team is weighing up the possibility of asking a court to remand Diddy to custody at home. Agnifilo said that Diddy would have better access to therapists and other support for anger management and substance abuse issues on the outside than he would in prison.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has therapists that we have basically lined up for him from the outside,\u201d the lawyer said. \u201cThe MDC is very strong in certain areas \u2026 one of the areas it\u2019s not so strong in, it does not have meaningful programming, so that is not really available to him on the inside.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBefore Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 trial had even ended, observers began speculating about whether President Donald Trump would pardon him. The chatter increased in the spring after the president pardoned reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022. The former Chrisley Knows Best stars, who have maintained [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf you were at a traditional post-conviction facility, there\u2019d be more programming for him. So we have put things together,\u201d Agnifilo explained. \u201cHe\u2019s working very hard in therapy. I know he\u2019s working hard on all these issues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked outright if he would seek a home confinement sentence, the lawyer said, \u201cThat is certainly an argument that I may make.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m certainly going to be asking the judge, as a condition of his supervised release, that he have the appropriate counseling and therapy. I think he needs it. I think he thinks he needs it, and that\u2019s the important part,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

At trial, Diddy was cleared of three further charges against him: two counts of sex trafficking and one count of racketeering conspiracy. The Bad Boy Records founder has maintained his innocence since his initial arrest and denied all the charges against him.<\/p>\n
