Bargain Block<\/em><\/a> fans got excited on Wednesday (August 6) after realtor Shea Hicks-Whitfield teased new episodes<\/a>, but star Keith Bynum<\/a> has made it clear that the show won\u2019t be returning for a fifth season.<\/a><\/p>\n The confusion came after Whitfield took to her Instagram page<\/a> to promote the remaining episodes of Season 4. Despite Bynum revealing that HGTV had canceled the series back in June, there are still a handful of already filmed episodes from the fourth season yet to air.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re 2 weeks away from an ALL NEW #BargainBlockWednesday y\u2019all! I can\u2019t wait for you guys to see what we\u2019ve been up to,\u201d Whitfield wrote alongside photos of herself with her co-stars, Bynum and Evan Thomas<\/a>.<\/p>\n Fans jumped into the comments to share their excitement, with some mistakenly assuming this meant HGTV had reversed its decision and renewed the show for a fifth season.<\/p>\n \u201cSo appreciative y\u2019all have another season! I\u2019m so excited that they realized what a stupid decision that was!!\u201d<\/p>\n However, Bynum squashed those hopes in his response to the above user, writing, \u201clol they didn\u2019t. We had already filmed these.\u201d<\/p>\n Bynum was one of several HGTV stars who took to social media in June<\/a> to announce that the network had dropped their shows. In addition to Bargain Block<\/em>, this included Married to Real Estate<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0Izzy Does It<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0Farmhouse Fixer<\/a><\/em>, and\u00a0Battle on the Beach<\/a><\/em>. It was later reported that Christina on the Coast<\/em><\/a> and The Flipping El Moussas<\/em><\/a> would also not be returning for new seasons.<\/p>\n In an Instagram Q&A back in June<\/a>, Bynum opened up about the cancellation, sharing, \u201cWe do have a few more episodes coming out in August, actually, starting on Evan\u2019s birthday (August 2). But they are the remainder of season four because they did not renew the show for season five.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cSo, it\u2019s a long story, but they originally greenlit it and then \u2014 I guess that was back in December. Then they decided in February, after we got everything ready for season five, that they weren\u2019t going to do it. So, it threw us into a bit of a crazy financial tailspin.\u201d<\/p>\n Bynum and Thomas are now focusing on new projects and appear to have no interest in returning to HGTV, even if the network reversed its decision.<\/p>\n Responding to a fan who wrote, \u201cCan\u2019t wait to watch! Hopefully, the viewing response will change HGTV\u2019s minds and bring you back for good!!\u201d Bynum said, \u201cHaha no thanks!
