Like it or not, celebrities are weighing in on the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a look at some of the stars who have endorsed either Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
For Kamala Harris<\/h3>\n
Pop superstar Taylor Swift<\/b> endorsed Harris just moments after the vice president and Trump squared off in their lone debate. Swift said she thinks Harris \u201cis a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.\u201d The endorsement seemed to get under Trump’s skin, as he posted on social media several days later: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!\u201d<\/p>\n Oprah Winfrey speaks during the Democratic National Convention Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, in Chicago. (AP Photo\/Erin Hooley)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n One of the most influential people in the U.S., Oprah Winfrey<\/b> spoke in support of Harris at the Democratic National Convention in August and then interviewed her at a Michigan event in September. \u201cCommon sense tells you that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz can give us decency and respect,\u201d Winfrey said during her DNC speech.<\/p>\n A-list actor George Clooney<\/b>, a major Democratic fundraiser, endorsed Harris in a statement shortly after the vice president announced she was running to replace President Joe Biden as the party\u2019s nominee. \u201cWe\u2019re all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic quest,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cHamilton\u201d creator Lin-Manuel Miranda<\/b>, along with actor Matt Damon<\/b>, headlined a New York fundraiser for Harris in September.<\/p>\n Actor Robert De Niro campaigns for President Joe Biden outside former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial in New York, Tuesday, May 28, 2024. (AP Photo\/Ted Shaffrey)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After narrating a campaign ad for Biden, Robert De Niro<\/b> threw his support behind Harris, taking part in a \u201cPaisans for Kamala\u201d livestream featuring prominent Italian Americans.<\/p>\n Bruce Springsteen<\/b> announced his support for the vice president in a video in October. In it, the \u201cBorn to Run\u201d singer called Trump \u201cthe most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime.\u201d<\/p>\n Iconic singer\/actress Barbra Streisand<\/b> said she supports Harris for fighting for abortion rights and has called Trump \u201ca convicted felon\u201d and a \u201cpathological liar\u201d who had been found liable for sexual assault and who had \u201cincited an insurrection against our democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n Musician John Legend<\/b>, who performed at this year\u2019s Democratic National Convention, has said Harris is \u201ceminently qualified to be president.\u201d<\/p>\n Pop star Billie Eilish<\/b> and her collaborator brother, Finneas<\/b>, announced their support for Harris in September. \u201cWe are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet and our democracy,\u201d said the \u201cBad Guy\u201d singer.<\/p>\n Billionaire Mark Cuban<\/b> \u2014 best known for his role on the TV reality show \u201cShark Tank\u201d and his ownership of the Dallas Mavericks \u2014 has assisted the Harris campaign while calling Trump\u2019s economic policies \u201cridiculous\u201d and \u201clunacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
