\t\t<\/p>\n The results of Gene Hackman<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s autopsy are in, two months after he and wife Betsy Arakawa<\/strong><\/a> were found dead on February 26 in their shared Santa Fe home in New Mexico. He was 95 years old and she was 63.<\/p>\n The Office of the Medical Investigator in New Mexico shared the results on Sunday (April 27), via Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to a final autopsy, the actor was fasting for an extended period of time, and had \u201ctrace amounts\u201d of acetone in his system. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The colorless solvent, which is found in nail polish and paint remover, is also a product of prolonged starvation, via Heathline<\/a>.<\/p>\n The final autopsy\u2019s toxicology test showed acetone levels \u201cat 5.3 mg\/dl, where as reported normal endogenous acetone levels in blood are up to 0.3 mg\/dL,\u201d which is consistent \u201cwith a prolonged level of fasting.\u201d<\/p>\n The autopsy also noted that the actor had a \u201chistory of congestive heart failure\u201d and \u201csevere chronic hypertensive changes, kidneys.\u201d <\/p>\n A \u201cbi-ventricular\u201d pacemaker was placed in April 2019.
