Prince George<\/a> is already being quietly prepared for the day he will inherit the British throne. <\/p>\n

Reports suggest that the eldest son of Prince William<\/a> and Kate Middleton<\/a> is expected to follow in his father\u2019s footsteps and attend Eton College, one of the UK\u2019s most prestigious schools. <\/p>\n

The Mail<\/i> on Sunday reported in June that \u201call roads lead to Eton\u201d for the prince. The outlet also claimed a certain \u201csmugness\u201d was emanating from the school after Walses visited.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was like, ‘I know something and the people at Eton know something, but I’m not going to tell you.’ That was after William and Kate visited Eton,\u201d one source told Mail.<\/p>\n

Royal historian Marlene Koenig told Us Weekly<\/i> that while George\u2019s coronation is decades away. \u201cBarring any accidents or health issues, George will not be king for some years. He is second in line\u2014as his father is the heir apparent\u2014and his grandfather is the king,\u201d Koenig explained.<\/p>\n

Koenig added that the 12-year-old prince is \u201cundoubtedly aware of his future role\u201d and believes his understanding deepened after the passing of his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022. <\/p>\n

Koenig suggested George gained \u201cproper awareness\u201d of the immense responsibility awaiting him.<\/p>\n

George will step nto royal duties with confidence<\/h2>\n

\u201cGeorge is the first member of the Royal Family to have such a role in the service,\u201d Koenig said. \u201cIf the young prince was nervous, he didn’t show it.\u201d Interestingly, at King Charles III\u2019s coronation in May 2023, the young prince played a major role.<\/p>\n
