Gorillaz<\/a> seem to be teasing new music as they celebrate their 25th anniversary.<\/p>\n In honour of the milestone, the band has launched \u2018House of Kong\u2019 \u2013 a new exhibition showing at London\u2019s Copper Box<\/a>, which offers fans a look behind the curtain of their headquarters \u2013 as well as four special live shows at the venue <\/a>taking place across this month and the beginning of September.<\/p>\n In a new interview with Channel 4 News<\/em>, Damon Albarn<\/a> and Jamie Hewlett gave some insight into the upcoming shows.<\/p>\n Speaking about the four concerts, Albarn said: \u201cWe\u2019re playing first album, second album, and third album, and then the fourth one is a mystery.\u201d<\/p>\n Presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy then asked: \u201cSo might there be something new there?\u201d, to which Damon responded: \u201cThere might. I mean, yes. In that sense, yeah,\u201d while Hewlett mimed his throat being cut.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not the first time this year that Albarn has hinted at a new album. In March, he suggested that one would be arriving later in 2025<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m finishing a new Gorillaz album. One opera and one new Gorillaz album seems like enough for 2025,\u201d he told French magazine\u00a0Les<\/em> Inrockuptibles<\/em><\/a>. \u201cUnless someone accuses me of taking my foot off the gas!\u201d<\/p>\n Hewlett then added fuel to the fire, writing in an Instagram comment: \u201cYes, the new album is coming out this year.\u201d<\/p>\n Last month, Albarn then revealed that\u00a0he\u2019s been \u201cincredibly busy making music\u201d \u2013 and said the \u201cnew Gorillaz record is in four languages\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n Elsewhere in the same interview, Albarn spoke out on what he has described as the \u201cgenocide\u201d in Gaza<\/a>, saying \u201cwe cannot deny the Palestinians their existence\u201d.<\/p>\n\n
