A Royal commentator has pointed out a distinct contrast between Meghan Markle<\/a> and Kate Middleton’s fashion approaches.<\/p>\n On the Palace Confidential podcast, host Jo Elvin noted the Princess of Wales’s “confident and experimental” fashion choices.<\/p>\n Jo discussed with Mail columnist Sarah Vine that while Kate might add new designers to her wardrobe<\/a>, she remains mindful of Royal expectations.<\/p>\n Sarah Vine weighed in, saying: “She’s not announcing the clothes that she’s wearing. She doesn’t want to make it the focus of who she is, but she still has to look good and, to an extent, look fashionable as well because she’s a young woman.”<\/p>\n Vine elaborated: “I mean, everyone expects her to play that role. Most women in their forties know what suits them, and they’re more comfortable in their own skin, and you can really see that in her.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Describing Kate’s style, Sarah likened it to “Jackie O style,” praising her “innate confidence” and understanding of her “strong points” and “limitations.” However, her take on Meghan Markle<\/a> was somewhat different.<\/p>\n In conclusion about the Princess of Wales, Sarah remarked: “She’s so confident in what she wears now, it almost doesn’t really matter.”<\/p>\n She added a contrasting view on the Duchess of Sussex: “You know, when we had the Duchess of Sussex around, with her, you always got the sense that she was wearing clothes almost as a way of promoting the brands, whereas I don’t get that with Catherine at all.
