Here&#8217;s what some of our favorite celebs on the red carpet said Sunday<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>IndyStar posed a single question to several celebrities and athletes who walked the Indy 500 red carpet Sunday: What is your favorite car you\u2019ve seen in a movie or show?<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of their answers:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terry Crews<\/strong> (retired NFL player and actor from \u201cEverybody Hates Chris\u201d and \u201cBrooklyn Nine-Nine\u201d): Herbie from \u201cThe Love Bug\u201d:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was cute. It was wonderful. It was for family. It\u2019s kind of like me,\u201d Crews said with a laugh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kathy Ireland<\/strong> (actress; designer; entrepreneur; and model for Sports Illustrated, Vogue; and Cosmopolitan): the magical flying car from \u201cChitty Chitty Bang Bang.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>DeForest Buckner<\/strong> (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/indianapolis-colts\/338\" data-autotag=\"d3fda36a-3eb5-4700-8763-caba831c06ae\">Colts<\/a> defensive tackle): James Bond\u2019s Aston Martins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kat McNamara<\/strong> (singer and actress known for \u201cShadowhunters\u201d): the Mystery Machine from \u201cScooby-Doo\u201d and the Millennium Falcon from \u201cStar Wars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just a big old nerd,\u201d McNamara said. \u201cThose were the ones that I think were iconic for me growing up as a kid. Full disclosure: When I\u2019m at Comic Con and there\u2019s a Mystery Machine or Millennium Falcon, I will go see it and sit in it and hang out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(Editor\u2019s note: People may disagree as to whether the Falcon is a car, but it\u2019s race day and we\u2019re having fun, so we\u2019re counting it.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matt Barr<\/strong> (actor from \u201cHatfields &amp; McCoys\u201d \u201cBlood &amp; Treasure,\u201d and \u201cWalker\u201d): the Shelby Cobra from 1995\u2019s \u201cBad Boys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s something about those kind of classic cars \u2014 there\u2019s a danger to them, you know \u2026 you just drive and the universe decides what happens,\u201d Barr said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie Feeney<\/strong> (social media content creator who has covered major sporting events): the Batmobile.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love superheroes, and I love any Marvel \u2026 type of movies,\u201d Feeney said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Natalie Grant<\/strong> (Grammy-nominated vocalist who sang the national anthem at the 2025 Indy 500): Herbie from \u201cThe Love Bug.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was \u201ccute, felt like it was your friend, felt like it loved you. It was just like, how could you not love it?\u201d Grant said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ephraim Owens<\/strong> (musician, composer and bandleader from Indianapolis who sang \u201cAmerica the Beautiful\u201d at the 2025 Indy 500): \u201cMy son would hate me if I didn\u2019t say this, but \u2018Lightning McQueen\u2019 wins every time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Owens said his son loves that McQueen is \u201creally, really fast and he\u2019s funny.
