Movie Icon, 64, Admits He\u2019s Slowing Down: \u2018I Don\u2019t Have 50 Takes in Me\u2019<\/a> originally appeared on Parade<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n George Clooney<\/strong> may be a silver fox, but the Hollywood heartthrob faces barriers in acting as he gets older.<\/p>\n The A-lister gave fans a glimpse into what it was like filming the upcoming Netflix movie Jay Kelly during a Monday, August 4, interview with Vanity Fair<\/a>. George will portray Jay Kelly, a famous actor whose manager is portrayed by Adam Sandler, <\/strong>and Laura Dern <\/strong>as his publicist.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019re an actor in my position, at my age, finding roles like this aren\u2019t all that common,\u201d George admitted to the publication. \u201cIf you can\u2019t make peace with aging, then you\u2019ve got to get out of the business and just disappear. I\u2019m now the guy that, when I go running after a bad guy, it\u2019s funny \u2014 it\u2019s not suspenseful. That\u2019s OK. I embrace all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n The Oscar-winning actor reflected on filming the movie under the guidance of director Noah Baumbach<\/strong>, who is known to make actors shoot multiple takes of a scene.<\/p>\n \u201cI literally said to him, \u2018Noah, look, I love the script. I love you as a director, but I\u2019m 63 years old, dude \u2014 I can\u2019t do 50 takes,\u2019\u201d George said. \u201c\u2018I don\u2019t have it in me. I\u2019ve got the acting range from A to B.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n George compared his career to his character\u2019s role, admitting that he \u201cdoesn\u2019t give a s–t\u201d if people think he only plays himself<\/p>\n \u201cThere aren\u2019t that many guys in my age group that are allowed to do both broad comedies like O Brother [Where Art Thou?] and then do Michael Clayton or Syriana,\u201d he listed. \u201cSo, if that means I\u2019m playing myself all the time, I don\u2019t give a s–t \u2026 Have you ever tried playing yourself?
