A lot of that song is about what I desired and what I hoped, and what I saw in someone. And it turns out I might not be singing that song again. It turns out that I maybe did marry into what I didn\u2019t want to do in the first place. So, it\u2019s OK now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">But with Blackstock\u2019s cancer diagnosis, it seems that the script flipped again when it came to the song\u2019s meaning. One audience member, Lois Rodriguez, attended Clarkson\u2019s Las Vegas show last week and noted the 43-year-old pop star\u2019s emotional state during her performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cShe had to muster the energy to sing \u2018Piece by Piece\u2019 without crying,\u201d Rodriguez wrote in <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNCSxWEpKEY\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:the comments on Instagram;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">the comments on Instagram<\/a> after Clarkson announced her residency postponement, \u201cI think I understand why now. Unlike her father, though, her children\u2019s father was leaving them in his death. She knew it was inevitable, which might explain the tears. Her kids were there with her, adorable as ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The life that Clarkson had hoped for with Blackstock and their two children didn\u2019t turn out like anyone had anticipated. The tumultuous divorce that kept them both in court for years and Blackstock\u2019s ultimate death isn\u2019t a story anyone would written for themselves.
