Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan<\/strong><\/a> has addressed her controversial comments regarding the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s no secret that I have been speaking out about Palestine for quite some time, and that happened from me learning about the Palestinian cause, feeling really frustrated seeing so much injustice happening to the people of Palestine,\u201d Kattan, 41, said in a Friday, August 8, video shared via TikTok<\/a>. \u201cThings that I don\u2019t see how can be justified. As things escalated and the more that I learned, I\u2019ve always tried to use my voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kattan explained that, as an influencer, she believes that she has \u201ca responsibility\u201d<\/a> to speak out \u201con behalf of anything [she thinks] is wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am just so tired of seeing children starve, people maimed, living in tents and being bombed while living in tents while they\u2019re just trying to survive the already excruciating and inhabitable conditions that they\u2019re living in,\u201d the beauty blogger said. \u201cIn order to silence you from speaking out, to silence me, they do what they always do. They twist your words, label you an antisemite and, right now, I\u2019m experiencing all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSephora is responding to the backlash facing Huda Beauty after founder Huda Kattan claimed Israel was to blame for World War 1, World War II, the September 11 terrorist attacks and Hamas\u2019 attack on Israel on October 7. After Kattan, 41, shared a video via TikTok in July and falsely claimed that Israel was responsible [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kattan has shared her support for Palestine in a number of social media videos earlier this summer. In one TikTok video posted in July, she falsely claimed that Israel was responsible for World War I, World War II, the September 11 terrorist attacks and Hamas\u2019 attack on Israel in October 2024.<\/p>\n

As a result, a number of social media users implored Sephora to stop stocking Kattan\u2019s beauty products because of her alleged antisemitic beliefs. (The cosmetics store noted in a statement<\/a> that it\u2019s currently investigating the situation and does not support any hate.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI would never condone any hate of any kind,\u201d she said on Friday, denying the allegations. \u201cThat, of course, includes Jewish hate. The fact that I even have to say that is so weird to me because it\u2019s so obvious.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTake a scroll through Huda Kattan\u2019s Instagram page, press play on one of her Youtube videos or just glance at her brand\u2019s website and it becomes instantly clear that the influencer-turned-beauty boss is as real as it gets. While she can contour the sh-t out of her nose, she\u2019s also the first to admit that [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kattan further said that her since-deleted video expressed \u201ccritical views of Israel\u201d but nothing regarding individuals of Jewish faith or \u201cinsinuated\u201d anything about them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would never talk about any people because I stand against hate and discrimination,\u201d she said. \u201cThe video was misinterpreted and completely misused. Words were put in my mouth [that] I never even mentioned in the video. The video is not up anymore. \u2026 I chose to remove it because I saw a lot of people taking what I said out of context, and I didn\u2019t want that conversation happening.\u201d<\/p>\n
