In the redacted report<\/a> obtained by Us Weekly <\/i>on Friday, August 8, police officers noted that a pool covering had not been in place the day their 3-year-old son drowned.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the southwest portion of the pool, I observed large netting and a fabric top rolls up onto PVC carriers,\u201d the documents read. \u201cThese were covers for the pool that were not in use at the time. It was later learned that the covers were in place most of the time, but were recently removed so the family could enjoy the pool. They were never replaced.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emilie, 26, and Brady\u2019s son Trigg drowned in the family\u2019s pool in May before he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Trigg died after life-saving measures were attempted.<\/p>\n

Brady had been home alone with Trigg and the couple\u2019s younger son, Teddy, while Emilie was out of the house. He said in a search warrant that he was \u201cdistracted\u201d by Teddy and did not see Trigg wander outside and, while playing with an inflatable chair, fall into the pool.<\/p>\n

Emilie, an influencer, has not publicly addressed her son\u2019s death or the resulting investigation. She has filed a lawsuit, petitioning the court to block the release of records about the circumstances of Trigg\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Investigators also recommended that Brady be charged with a Class 4 felony charge<\/a> of child abuse.<\/p>\n
