But, the reality competition show is gearing up for another season already, and they\u2019ve slowly started giving updates about what to expect \u2014 including a new confirmation about the premiere date and even some of the celebrity cast members.<\/p>\n The dance competition series has been an ABC staple since 2005. This year will mark 20 years since the show premiered.<\/p>\n After ABC confirmed one cast member in April, another reveal was made on May 22, followed by two more on July 1. Here\u2019s what we know about Season 34 of DWTS at the moment.<\/p>\n ABC renewed Dancing with the Stars for Season 34 on April 22, 2025. The show\u2019s official Instagram page shared the news. \u201cCue the celebration dance \ud83d\udc83\ud83d\udd7a another season of #DWTS is coming to ABC and Disney+<\/a>! \ud83c\udf89 Next day on Hulu<\/a>,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n For the majority of its run, Dancing with the Stars has been a part of ABC\u2019s fall lineup. It aired for one season strictly one Disney+, but went back to network TV and streaming the following year.<\/p>\n Dancing With the Stars\u00a0<\/i>returns on Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ABC confirmed the premiere news on July 17 after previously revealing that the show will air in a two-hour time slot on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. It is followed in the lineup by\u00a0High Potential<\/a>.<\/p>\n Although the cast isn\u2019t usually announced until closer to the premiere date (typically September), ABC has announced four celebrities who will put on their dancing shoes.<\/p>\n Wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin<\/a> will join Season 34, as will social media star Alix Earle<\/a>. On July 1, it was revealed that\u00a0The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/a> stars Whitney Leavitt and Jennifer Affleck<\/a> are also part of the cast.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cCrikey! She appeared live on the morning show to share the news.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve always been a fan of Dancing With the Stars. I used to watch it when I was so young with my grandma and she always used to say to me, \u2018Maybe one day you could be on there.\u2019 I was always so in love with dance. When this opportunity came to me, it was like, what can I do next? Where can I take this? I\u2019m ready to challenge myself. I think it\u2019s going to be fun. It was a very obvious answer to say yes.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Affleck and Leavitt\u2019s casting was revealed during\u00a0The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Reunion Special. At first, host Nick Viall only named Affleck as a contestant, but noted that both she and Leavitt wanted it the most. \u201cI cannot tell you how excited I am,\u201d Affleck gushed through tears. Later, Viall added that Leavitt would also be part of the show.<\/p>\n The rest of the cast, as well as everyone\u2019s celebrity partners, will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n Judges Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba<\/a>, and Bruno Tonioli<\/a> will likely return to the judges\u2019 table for Season 34, as well as co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro<\/a> and Julianne Hough<\/a>.
