It\u2019s the end of an era at E! as the network has announced that \u201cE! News\u201d will end after more than three decades on the air. <\/p>\n

The network informed its employees on Thursday, July 24, that the long-running pop culture news program will sunset in the next two months, TODAY.com<\/a> has learned. While the first broadcast following the surprising news will be a repeat episode, new shows will return next week. <\/p>\n

\u201cE! News\u201d will continue to air new episodes until its final taping on Sept. 25. (E! is part of NBCUniversal, TODAY\u2019s parent company.)<\/p>\n

Other broadcasted pop culture shows like \u201cAccess Hollywood\u201d and \u201cAccess Daily\u201d were not impacted and will still record new episodes. <\/p>\n

As the cable series comes to an end, E! will shift its focus to growing its digital and social media platforms through its website, E! Online, and shows like \u201cE! News\u2019 The\u202fRundown\u201d on Snapchat, \u201cHot Goss\u201d on Instagram and \u201cRE!CAP\u201d on YouTube. <\/p>\n

Although the pop culture staple has been canceled, TODAY.com<\/a> has confirmed that the network will continue its red carpet coverage show \u201cLive from E!\u201d and that it will be the home of the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards on Jan 4, 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cE! News\u201d is currently hosted by anchors Keltie Knight and Justin Sylvester, along with correspondents Jason Kennedy, Will Marfuggi, Francesca Amiker, Carolina Bermudez, Courtney Lopez and Emily Curl. <\/p>\n

\u201cE! News\u201d began in 1991. The show made major changes in 2019 when it relocated from a nightly broadcast in Los Angeles to a morning news program in New York. Then, the following year it was canceled after 29 seasons<\/a> by NBCUniversal in 2020 due to the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n

In October 2022, NBCUniversal announced that \u201cE! News\u201d was returning with new hosts Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and Sylvester, and it would reclaim its nighttime slot. <\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018E! News\u2019 has a long history of entertainment news excellence, and we are excited to bring the show back and continue its legacy,\u201d Tracie Wilson, executive vice president of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios and E! News, said at the time in a statement. <\/p>\n

Now, the \u201cE! News\u201d set will shut down once again, this time after 34 years of delivering celebrity news and gossip. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
