And while we try to be as current and up-to-date as possible, we know that we\/you missed out on at least six months of good music.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">What to do.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">Well, we have a special edition Chevy Silverado outfitted with a flux capacitor for a short ride as we highlight some tunes from those first six months of 2025 that you may have missed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">But first, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ozzy.com\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">RIP Ozzy<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BbznF1XkqEE&amp;list=RDBbznF1XkqEE&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Rose City Band: \u201cRadio Song\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">A song from the Band\u2019s latest and fifth album \u201cSol Y Sombra\u201d. Their music has been described as \u201cspace age country music\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=olGXtohOs7c&amp;list=RDolGXtohOs7c&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band: \u201cI\u2019m The Urban Spaceman\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">The song (produced by Apollo C. Vermouth, an alias for Paul McCartney and Gus Dudgeon and written\/performed by Neil Innes considered to be the seventh Python, as in Monty) is part of a 20-disc retrospective \u201cStill Barking\u201d that chronicles the band\u2019s forays into music hall, jazz, surreal humor and inspired insanity. We had the opportunity to see the band when they opened for Joe Cocker on his first American.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=N6o9HsvbekQ&amp;list=RDN6o9HsvbekQ&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">The Waterboys: \u201cHoppers on Top\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">\u201cLife, Death and Dennis Hopper\u201d is the 16th studio album from the Scottish folk rock band and explores the life and times of the actor and director. Contributions by Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple and Steve Earle make this album something special.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=i1_UR7l14dQ&amp;list=RDi1_UR7l14dQ&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Kinky Friedman: \u201cSee You Down The Highway\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">A song from the posthumous album (\u201cThe Poet of Motel 6\u201d) of the legendary singer, songwriter, novelist, humorist, politician and satirist. His song \u201cRapid City, South Dakota\u201d became a standard along with songs like \u201cThey Ain\u2019t Makin\u2019 Jews Like Jesus Anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kNTv5qHQMSM&amp;list=RDkNTv5qHQMSM&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Larkin Poe: \u201cEasy Love, Pt 1\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">If you are not familiar or aren\u2019t a fan of the Lovell sisters, you should be. The roots rock duo are one of the mainstays of the festival circuit thanks to their scorching live sets. With seven albums to their credit and an eighth,\u201d Bloom,\u201d just released, they are one of our favorites.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=M9MDnqKQWOA&amp;list=PLavj31GOKaUvoHoUly4eB17NKSFwBk0MJ&amp;index=9\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Annarella and Django: \u201cMegaphone\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">OK, so \u201cJouer\u201d was released last November, but I didn\u2019t catch it until January\u00a0 and it is an exceptional album that people need to hear. The principals are Swedish jazz flautist Annarella and Malian ngoni harp master Django. I wasn\u2019t familiar with either artist but when I heard the first notes of \u201cMegaphone,\u201d the Afro-groove immediately got my attention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PdY_rx-TOWE&amp;list=RDPdY_rx-TOWE&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Sparks: \u201cDo Things My Own Way\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">I have been a Sparks fan since their first album as Halfnelson in 1972. The quirky pop-rock brothers have recorded 28 albums including their latest \u201cMad!\u201d which entered the UK album charts at #2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QuTHAVpUDpU&amp;list=RDQuTHAVpUDpU&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Little Feat: \u201cDance A Little\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">If you were to ask me to name my favorite live bands, Little Feat would be in my top five. A band that can meld blues, rock, country, jazz and funk and make that music uniquely their own, is something truly special. Their latest \u201cStrike Up The Band\u201d has some great songs and here is one of them. And if you don\u2019t have a copy of \u201cWaiting For Columbus,\u201d get one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3xIh2j1Gq0s&amp;list=RD3xIh2j1Gq0s&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">I\u2019m With Her: \u201cAncient Light\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">The opening track from \u201cWild And Clear And Blue,\u201d the folk trio of Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O\u2019Donovan and Sara Watkins. Some might call them \u201ca female supergroup\u201d but I doubt they would even allow that in a press release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5htIIBUG0Es&amp;list=RD5htIIBUG0Es&amp;start_radio=1\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline\">Heartworms: \u201cExtraordinary Wings\u201d<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"white-space:pre-wrap;\">So here is a UK artist who has just released her second album \u201cGlutton For Punishment\u201d, loves military aircraft, and decided to ditch her post-punk roots and prove that she could work in just about any genre she chooses.
