\u201cScream Queen<\/a>\u201d Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a> played it cool in reacting to a brutal review of her new movie \u201cFreakier Friday\u201d \u2015 but it was clear she wasn\u2019t happy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Oscar winner scolded Time\u2019s Stephanie Zacharek for being a mean girl in trashing the light sequel starring her and Lindsay Lohan \u2015 who appear together again as the body-swapping mother and daughter from 2003\u2032s \u201cFreaky Friday.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSEEMS a TAD HARSH,\u201d Curtis wrote in the comments next to Time\u2019s Instagram summary of the review. \u201cSOME people LOVE it. Me being one.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A tad harsh would be putting it mildly. \u201cFreakier Friday<\/em> is a movie that manages to humiliate everybody<\/a>,\u201d Zacharek wrote. \u201cAnd it appears to exist largely for one reason: to grift off the fondness many adults have for the original, even though the sequel has none of that picture\u2019s breezy, observant charm.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After zinging the \u201chorrifically ugly\u201d outfits that Lohan\u2019s character wore, the reviewer zeroed in on Curtis, who \u201cfares even worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s more good-natured than she needs to be about the movie\u2019s adult-diaper gags and jokes referencing the frequency with which old people tend to pass gas,\u201d Zacharek continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
