In the crash of it all, it\u2019s easy for the best moments to be drowned out and lost, especially for new talent trying to get noticed.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-grvmedia-grv-video GRVVideo GRVPrimisVideo\"\/>\n<p>This week however, it\u2019s the one-to-watch that won out. Stone open a bold new era as independent artists, and NewDad stay on course with more grunge greatness.<\/p>\n<p>But even among more established artists, the quality this week was golden. Ethel Cain\u2019s new album provided a whole batch of epic and visionary tracks, Laufey\u2019s third album is shaping up to be something special, and Wolf Alice continues evolving its sound.<\/p>\n<p>For more tips, we passed the mic to Leeds-based unit Bathing Suits to get their picks for songs that demand attention.<\/p>\n<p>All in one place for easy listening, all you have to do is hit play. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The best new music of the week<\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Track of the week<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Jeanie and the White Boys \u2013 \u2018Queen Bee\u2019: <\/strong>To see Jeanie and the Whiteboys live it to become instantly obsessed. Lit vocal chops and even litter music video<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cannelle \u2013 \u2018Fille\u2019: <\/strong>I don\u2019t know what she\u2019s saying cause I can\u2019t speak French, but it sounds really good, like if American Apparel skirts were turned into headphones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Magdalene \u2013 \u2018Hot shot\u2019: <\/strong>Divas unite, your anthem is here. Wanna feel like Britney Spears, wanna feel like a bad ass bitch? Get your headphones on and stream. She\u2019s a diva, and she knows what she\u2019s doing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KiosK\u2014\u2018Dogma\u2019:<\/strong> Ethereal angels Bella and Maz, electro track and bass. They\u2019re our best friends, and they\u2019re amazing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Model\/Actriz \u2013 \u2018Departures\u2019: <\/strong>My favourite song off the album. I love when he goes \u201cbe embodied, be embodied, be embodied\u201d. As this era opens up, it\u2019s clear how much she\u2019s pushed her lyricism, giving further into a feeling and coming back to the light with something even more poignant, like \u2018Snow White\u2019.<strong> [4\/5]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lucy Dacus \u2013 \u2018Bus Back To Richmond\u2019:<\/strong> Following her latest album in March, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/faroutmagazine.co.uk\/lucy-dacus-shares-two-new-singles-bus-back-to-richmond-and-more-than-friends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Lucy Dacus surprise-released two new singles.<\/a> Both are excellent and are, as with everything she releases, true triumphs of lyricism, but \u2018Bus Back To Richmond\u2019 wins out as a favourite.<strong> [4\/5]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Westside Cowboy \u2013 \u2018Drunk Surfer\u2019:<\/strong> With each new release, Westside Cowboy make their one-to-watch status brighter and brighter with these new doses of promise. \u2018Drunk Surfer\u2019 stands as their most electrifying yet. <strong>[4\/5]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NewDad \u2013 \u2018Pretty\u2019:<\/strong> Ireland\u2019s finest 1990s grunge-inspired unit seem to only get better and better. On \u2018Pretty\u2019, The Cure meets New Order, topped with Julie Dawson\u2019s angelic vocals, it\u2019s a stunning contradiction of parts.<strong> [3.5\/5]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Stone \u2013 \u2018Never Again\u2019:<\/strong> Stone are back. Casting off their big label and embracing their new future as independent artists, they\u2019re boldly breaking down the door with their loudest track to date and a chant-worthy pre-chorus. <strong>[3\/5]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Teethe \u2013 \u2018Iron Wine\u2019:<\/strong> The same week that Ethel Cain put her album out, one of her own favourite artists released their own too, as Teethe supported her on her last tour. Magic of the Sale is moving and cinematic throughout, but \u2018Iron Wine\u2019 is a standout. <strong>[3.5\/5]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Off the beaten track \u2013 Written and curated by Ben Forrest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>J<strong>ohnny Bristol \u2013 \u2018Lusty Lady\u2019: <\/strong>London\u2019s Dynamite Cuts answers the prayers of soul obsessives everywhere, reissuing this slice of soulful excellence from Johnny Bristol, first released back in 1975. For the first time on seven-inch vinyl, listeners can hear the vocalist\u2019s rich, smooth tones work through the disco-infused deep soul classic, which still holds up today. <strong>[4.5\/5]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Holy Rollercoasters \u2013 \u2018Brownsville\u2019: <\/strong>A highlight from This is the Last Will and Testament of, the latest offering from the Brisbane-based R&amp;B obsessives, \u2018Brownsville\u2019 is rooted in the enduring sounds of golden age soul and R&amp;B, but with a few contemporary touches thrown in for good measure. Timeless charm and more brass than you could shake a stick at, what is there not to like? [4.5\/5]<\/p>\n<p><strong>August \u2013 \u2018The Mirror\u2019: <\/strong>Yet another incredible, newly unearthed garage rock gem from Germany\u2019s Tramp Records, blending those groovy elements of early R&amp;B with the raw, grassroots sound of golden age garage rock.
