The Maccabees<\/a> have shared that they are \u201ctempted\u201d by the idea of recording new music together.<\/p>\n The indie band shared news of their comeback in October 2024, following an eight-year hiatus, and confirmed they would be topping the bill at Victoria Park<\/a> in East London on August 24.<\/p>\n That show will also coincide with the 10th anniversary of their fourth and final album, \u2018Marks To Prove It\u2019<\/a>, which was shared back in 2015. Visit here<\/a> for any remaining tickets.<\/p>\n In the run up to their All Points East gig, Felix White<\/a> and co. also reunited for a huge show at this year\u2019s edition of Glastonbury<\/a> and, before that, played their first gig back on June 20<\/a> at London\u2019s The Dome for a charity gig in aid of MS Society.<\/p>\n Since the announcement of their return, the members have been consistently adamant that they are taking things one step at a time, and focusing solely on playing live, rather than working on any new music.<\/p>\n However, in a new interview, the band have said they are becoming increasingly tempted to get back into the studio.<\/p>\n When asked by The Independent<\/a><\/em> how they are finding their time back together, Hugo White shared that \u201ceveryone\u2019s in a good headspace and connecting with each other,\u201d and that that dynamic has allowed the band to feel \u201cstronger\u201d.<\/p>\n Felix then chimed in, pondering if feeling \u201cstronger\u201d than ever \u201cmeans we would make better music or worse music\u201d than their previous discography.<\/p>\n Exploring how being at a different stage in life could affect the sound, Hugo quipped that anything new would most likely be \u201cslower\u201d than their previous work, while Felix continued: \u201cThere\u2019s a good feeling about it. It\u2019s tempting\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
