He ejected conventional song structure as bourgeois, while forging ahead as an autodidact working with oscillators, distortion units and echo delays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Partner <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/news\/dieter-moebius-dead-at-71\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Dieter Moebius;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Dieter Moebius<\/a> took an equally enthusiastic approach, and with Conrad Schnitzler in tow, the trio made experimental and improvised music as Kluster before the Schnitzler left and precipitated a name change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Unlike the pastoral electronica which later made their name, <em>Cluster II <\/em>was recorded in Hamburg under the production auspices of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/craziness-something-holy-prog-credentials-135214871.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Conny Plank;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Conny Plank<\/a>. The sound of industry permeates the album throughout, while its influence is keenly felt in the early work of Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle and other acolytes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The slowly unravelling grind of the 13-minute epic <em>Im S\u00fcden <\/em>lays down the foundations for the hypno-monotony that would characterise <em>Spacemen 3<\/em>\u2019s later work (see <em>Suicide<\/em>). Devoid of beats or any obvious sense of rhythm, its pulsing machinations use repetition as their hook, while a Hawaiian guitar is pushed through a phalanx of effects to disguise its origins.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Likewise, the similarly extended <em>Live In Der Fabrik<\/em> \u2013 which translates as \u2018Live In The Factory\u2019 \u2013 is as much a statement of intent as it is a title. This is the sound of post-war German culture rebuilding itself through the prism of the avant-garde.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Roedelius\u2019 wife described this period as \u201cnoise terrorism\u201d \u2013 listening now, it\u2019s hard to disagree.
