Linda Hogan<\/strong><\/a> paid tribute to her late ex-husband, Hulk Hogan<\/strong><\/a>, on what would have been his 72nd birthday.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMe and Hulkster,\u201d Linda, 65, shared via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, August 11, alongside a throwback picture of the pair. \u201c1981 Happy Birthday Terry .. I love and miss you so much.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Linda and Hulk (real name Terry Bollea<\/strong>) were married in 1983 and separated in 2007. They finalized their divorce in 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

The couple shared daughter Brooke<\/strong>, 37, and son Nick<\/strong>, 35.<\/span><\/p>\n

Linda first responded to the news of Hulk\u2019s death<\/a> in a comment on her own Instagram post on July 28.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI had no idea he would pass away this soon,\u201d Linda wrote. \u201cWe all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It\u2019s hitting me so hard.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Linda said she \u201cnever spoke [to] or saw\u201d Hulk in the years before his death but would get information about his life from Nick.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNick would tell me things and vice versa,\u201d Linda explained. \u201cJust news about life. I still felt .. although broken .. we still were a family. It\u2019s so hard to know he\u2019s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick \u2026 but I\u2019m melting down now. It\u2019s very sad.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Linda concluded her message, \u201cI love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Hulk died on July 24 after suffering cardiac arrest<\/a> at his home in Clearwater, Florida.<\/span><\/p>\n

The legendary professional wrestler died from acute myocardial infarction, most commonly known as a heart attack, according to documents obtained by Us Weekly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hogan also had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells, per the documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

A small, private ceremony was held to honor Hulk on July 31 before a larger funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 5<\/a>, at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida.<\/span><\/p>\n
