\n\tWith hints of fall weather creeping into August, hip-hop and R&B\u2019s biggest stars are cranking out their summertime projects before the season comes to a close.<\/p>\n
\n\tLast week (Aug. 8), Bryson Tiller (The Vices<\/a><\/em>), JID (God Does Like Ugly<\/em>) and Gunna (The Last Wun<\/a><\/em>) all unleashed new projects stacked with A-list features and standout tracks that further boost an already banner year for hip-hop releases. Notably, Larry June, 2 Chainz and The Alchemist release a deluxe edition of their stellar Life Is Beautiful<\/em> album, while Young Nudy dropped his new Paradise<\/em> LP.<\/p>\n \n\tClipse, who put out a heater of their own a few weeks ago in Let God Sort Em Out<\/em>, graced New York\u2019s Terminal 5 on their latest tour<\/a> (Aug. 7), which included a guest appearance by Stove God Cooks. The same week, Eve, while on the Joe and Jada Podcast<\/em>, named the female rappers she believes have sustainable careers<\/a> \u2014 Doechii, Cardi B, GloRilla and Latto \u2014 amongst \u201ca lot of crap,\u201d as she described the scene. \u201cI think there are some, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to be a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tNicki Minaj, who sits sandwiched between Eve\u2019s era and the current class of ascendant female MCs, also made headlines last week after she finally got in on her viral \u201cHigh School\u201d stiletto challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tWith Fresh Picks,\u00a0Billboard<\/em>\u00a0aims to highlight some of the best and most interesting new sounds across R&B and hip-hop \u2014 from TA Thomas\u2019 new Southern soul joint to Rakim and Big Ghost LTD\u2019s new collaboration.
