Bethenny Frankel<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t in any hurry to dip her toes back in the dating pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know what you\u2019re going to say, but I\u2019m going to confide in you. I\u2019m afraid to date. Now, it\u2019s not like I\u2019m actually\u2026 actively afraid,\u201d Frankel, 54, said in a TikTok video<\/a> shared on Sunday, August 10. \u2018It\u2019s like I am so hesitant because\u2026 You know how, like, when you get food poisoning, you\u2019re just scared to eat that food again, even though rationally you know that you\u2019re likely not going to get food poisoning again from that same food, but you just don\u2019t\u2026 you can\u2019t bring yourself to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the situation Frankel has found herself in, she insisted.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike, I dip my foot in and think I\u2019m going to do it, and then start talking to someone, and then I run away. I\u2019ll just, like, stop texting or just\u2026and it\u2019s not a breadcrumb thing. I\u2019m not a breadcrumber. I, like, stick my foot in the pool and then I\u2019m like, \u2018It\u2019s too cold. I don\u2019t want to go in,\u2019\u201d she said, adding that instead of pushing herself to date before she\u2019s ready, she\u2019s decided to retreat from the dating scene entirely.<\/p>\n

After breaking up with ex-fianc\u00e9 Paul Bernon, the former Real Housewives of New York City star decided to schedule a first date with a mystery man. But according to a new social media post, Frankel, 53, had a change of heart after spotting [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSo maybe one day the pool will be warm enough, and it\u2019ll be a beautiful enough day to, like, get in, but\u2026 until that day, I\u2019m not even dipping my toe in anymore,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n

Frankel was last linked to Paul Bernon<\/strong>, but the pair broke off their engagement<\/a> in March 2024 after six years of dating. (Frankel also shares daughter Bryn <\/strong>with ex Jason Hoppy<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

In a March 2025 appearance<\/a> on Alix Earle\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cHot Mess\u201d podcast, Frankel revealed she was dating again \u2014 but taking it slowly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am dating,\u201d she explained, \u201cI have always, sort of, wanted to know exactly what everything is, and I\u2019m trying to let the wine breathe more vs. need to know what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked to explain what that meant, Frankel clarified, \u201cLike, what the label is or that [if] I\u2019m getting married.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Frankel also made it clear that she wasn\u2019t necessarily having the most success because many men were intimidated by her professionally.<\/p>\n
