No, Jennifer Aniston was never dating Barack Obama, and she has no idea where those rumors even came from.<\/p>\n

The Friends<\/em> alum laughed about the wild allegations that circled the web for some time last year in a candid cover interview for Vanity Fair<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI don\u2019t think anyone really pays attention to reports like that if you\u2019re the subject of them,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Aniston added that she knows Michelle Obama better than she does the former United States president, and even saw her recently. \u201cI was lucky enough to have dinner with Michelle a month ago,\u201d the actor said, noting that the drama\u2014a.k.a. the allegations that Aniston was having an affair with Barack\u2014\u201cwasn\u2019t even brought up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aniston\u2019s fellow actor friend Sandra Bullock, who was also interviewed for the Morning Show<\/em> star\u2019s cover, also weighed in on the allegations. \u201cWe try to figure out the genesis of where some of these stories come from\u2026 but 75 percent of the time, we just cannot,\u201d she said. \u201cThey\u2019re literally pulled out of the ether.\u201d <\/p>\n

No one really knows where the rumors of Aniston and Barack first began, but they made the rounds around the time when Michelle skipped several public events\u2014including Donald Trump\u2019s second presidential inauguration and Jimmy Carter\u2019s funeral\u2014leaving her husband to attend them alone. (The former first lady has addressed the absences<\/a> and her relationship status with Barack<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

This is also not the first time Aniston has addressed the rumors about her and the politician. Last year, she joked about the claims on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/em>, saying she was \u201cnot mad at it,\u201d but it was all \u201cabsolutely untrue.\u201d<\/p>\n
