Meghan Markle<\/a> and Prince Harry have moved forward with their Netflix deal. The streaming giant announced that it\u2019s extending their partnership with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex\u2019s company Archewell Productions. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand,\u201d Meghan said in a statement. \u201cMy husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season 2 of Meghan\u2019s Netflix series With Love, Meghan<\/em>, will premiere later this month, with a holiday special,\u00a0With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration<\/em>, set to premiere in December. As for their involvement with the lifestyle brand As Ever, Netflix \u201cwill continue expanding into new product categories with new items continuing to be released throughout the remainder of the year.\u201d Archewell will also produce two more projects: Meet Me at the Lake<\/em>, a romance feature adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by Carley Fortune, and Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within<\/em>, a documentary about children in the Masaka region of Uganda. <\/p>\n

The new deal comes after multiple reports<\/a> that the streamer would axe their deal after it expired and continue with a deal similar to what former President Barack Obama<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Michelle Obama<\/a> had where they were offered a first preview. Meghan Markle and\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a>\u00a0initially signed the $100 million deal with Netflix in 2020. The couple has released five projects through Archewell Productions. With Love, Meghan<\/em>, which ranked at No. 383 with 5.3 million views, Polo, which was ranked No. 3,436 with 500,000 views, and the 2022 docuseries\u00a0Harry & Meghan,<\/em>\u00a0which\u00a0remains Netflix\u2019s most-watched documentary debut to date<\/p>\n

The new deal comes right after celebrity gossiper\u00a0Rob Shuter<\/a>\u00a0reported that the couple had to let go of a number of their staff at their Archewell Foundation. \u201cThis isn\u2019t strategy \u2014 it\u2019s survival,\u201d one source told him. \u201cThey\u2019re running out of money, and now they\u2019re running\u00a0out of people<\/a>.\u201d Another source added. \u201cThey don\u2019t have the money to keep the team they built,\u201d the source said. \u201cThey tried to recreate the royal court \u2014 but California doesn\u2019t do crowns on credit.\u201d But it seems like another good deal has been settled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
