At the time of Sofronio’s win, he teased<\/a> to Parade<\/a> <\/em>how he and his mentor had talked about working together on music in the future. Well, it looks like Sofronio is cashing in on Michael’s promise \u2014 along with some other major players in the music industry.<\/p>\n As Michael shared on Instagram<\/a> on August 6, he and Sofronio got together with legendary singer Paul Anka<\/a><\/strong>, songwriter and producer David Foster<\/a><\/strong> and sound engineer Jorge Vivo<\/a><\/strong> for what appeared to be lunch and a studio session. What’s more, Michael explained what it meant for this group of people to join Sofronio in this phase of his career after all the work they did for him in the past.<\/p>\n “@paulankaofficial and @davidfoster took me under their wings at the very start of my journey and it obviously changed my life,” he wrote in the caption. “They believed in me when nobody knew my name. Now, together, we get to do the same for @sofroniovasquez. This is what music is about. Legacy, Love and Lifting each other up. I can\u2019t wait for you all to hear it. @nbc @nbcthevoice.”<\/p>\n Shortly after Michael sweetly called out Sofronio on social media, it didn’t take long for The Voice<\/em> winner to express his gratitude.<\/p>\n “Kulang ang pasasalamat galing sa aking puso,” he replied, translating from Filipino to “the gratitude from my heart” in English. “Love you Sir \u2764\ufe0f may God bless more your heart.”<\/p>\n And as folks saw how Michael was helping Sofronio out in this new step in his career, they loved seeing the two still in touch all these months later.<\/p>\n “Lucky man!
